How can I get to my tour destination?
You must arrive at your tour’s destination on time. Utmost Expeditions does not include any form of transportation to your tour destination.

What does the tour cost include?
The cost of your tour includes the services mentioned in the “Inclusions” section of each web page. It mainly covers accommodation, transportation, guide service, breakfasts, sightseeing activities and some other inclusions depending on your itinerary.
Is my money safe when booking a tour with Utmost Expeditions?
We are at Utmost Expeditions, Tanzania’s trustworthy tour agency located in Arusha and rated by more than 300 customers for our best services. We are in business since 2010. You can be sure your holiday is secured and fully financially protected. Unrelatedly, we are always obliged to provide customers with a high quality of service that aligns with the policies and objectives of Utmost Expeditions.
What type of people travels with Utmost Expeditions?
Most of our passenger’s Utmost Expeditions tend to be between the ages of 18 and 40, but more mature travellers with a young outlook are also welcomed. The majority of Utmost Expeditions are from Tanzania, Kenya, Ireland, Zanzibar and many more.
I’m travelling alone; do I need to pay the single supplement?
There are always single travellers on our tours. If you don’t mind being roomed with another single traveller of the same sex, then you do not need to pay the supplement. The single supplement is for travellers who would like to stay in a single room for the duration of their tour. Please note this option is not always available, especially for sailing tours. You must ask about this to our tour guide.
Do I need to get my visa beforehand or can I get it on arrival at the airport?
You are responsible for obtaining all necessary visas prior to the departure of your trip. Please consult your travel agent or visa service well in advance to determine which visas you will require and how to obtain them. Failure to obtain all necessary visas could result in you not being allowed to enter the destination and could result in considerable expenses and inconvenience. Please also remember that on some tours you will need multiple visas to enter the same country more than once. You can discuss the same with our expert.
How can I get to my arrival hotel or meeting point?
If your tour includes an arrival transfer from the airport, you will be taken to your arrival hotel or meeting point. If your tour does not include an arrival transfer from the airport, the meeting points are pre-determined and made available to you in your pre-departure file and our website prior to the commencement of your tour. In the case that you miss your welcome meeting or the departure of the tour, you can keep in touch with your tour guide to amend the situation and catch up with the group.
Are airport transfers included and how do I arrange them?
Most of our tours include airport transfers. If stated that an arrival transfer is included, you will be picked up from the airport on the first day of your tour, at any time. You must inform our call centre of your flight details (date of flight, flight number, arrival time and name of travellers) 10 days prior to your arrival for the confirmed arrangement of your transfer. You will be picked up by an Utmost Expeditions representative holding an Utmost Expeditions sign at the airport. Please also check “Airport Transfer” information in the “Inclusions” section of every tour’s page. Airport transfer/s are only available if stated under the “Inclusions” section of your selected tour. Contact us for more information.

Can I book a pre or post-tour accommodation?
Depending on your destination, dates and hotel availability, we may be able to arrange pre/post-tour accommodation with our special prices. Please contact us for detailed information.
How many people can join a tour?
We keep our group sizes low so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from our local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. Please contact us for detailed information.
Is tipping included and if not, how much should I budget?
Tips are not included in the tour price and tipping is entirely at your discretion. Our Trip Details documentation includes suggested tipping amounts and these can be downloaded from each individual trip summary page.
Can I book extra nights of hotel accommodation before or after my tour?
Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation at our starting or ending hotels, excluding European tours. Please contact our expert for the price. If we are unable to provide you with the extra nights we will give you the name of a hotel you can contact directly. Please also note that extra accommodations must be booked outside of 30 days of departure.
Are airport transfers included?
Most of our adventures do not include airport transfers and so we recommend you arrange a taxi on arrival (this is the most economical and efficient way of getting you to your hotel). If you would prefer a pre-arranged transfer these are usually available at an additional cost – please contact us for more information. Some of our adventures, including our “Superior” “Comfort Class”, “Independent” and “Family Adventures”, include an arrival transfer (departure transfers can be locally arranged at additional cost from the finishing point hotel).
Can I join a tour late or leave it early?
It’s extremely difficult if not impossible to join a tour after it has begun. It is possible to leave a tour early however you will be responsible for your own arrangements from the moment you decide to leave the tour. You would also be responsible for all costs associated with joining a tour late or leaving one early. If you feel this may be necessary please contact our expert before you book your adventure.
