5 Days Tanzania Camping Safari will combine the thrill of Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, during your safari you’ll be overnight on campsites within the Tanzania National Parks or outside the parks. After a game viewing at Tarangire park, it’s easy to spend your night at any campsite around Mto wa Mbu in the Manyara region.

5 Days Tanzania Camping Safari in Details

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire

After early breakfast you’ll depart from Arusha to Tarangire (Home of Giants) for a game drive, here you may see a sizable number of elephants, zebras, migrating wildebeest, baboons, huge baobab trees, buffalos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, antelopes, and different other wild animals, keep enjoying a game drive until evening drove back to the camp for your dinner and overnight.

Day 2 Tarangire – Serengeti

After an early breakfast prepared by your chef at the camp, you’ll be driven to the Serengeti through the roads up the Rift valley escarpment and traversing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We arrive around morning at Naabi Gate where you’ll stretch your legs as your safari guide goes through the paperwork at the govt. office, then you’ll start a game drive straightaway around central Serengeti where you’ll spend the whole afternoon attempting to seek out animals until sunset. Late afternoon you pitch camp at Seronera where you’ll be able to stay in any available public campsites.

Day 3:  Serengeti – Full Game Drive

After early breakfast, you’ll leave together with your packed lunch in lunch boxes and head to the plains of Serengeti for the morning game drive in search of more animals and birds. Our professional safari guide is communicating closely with other safari guides via VHF radio to make sure they get the best sightings of the day and you may expect to spot a lot of animals within the Serengeti including the Big Five like Leopards, Lions, Elephants, Rhinos and Buffaloes but also other large game like hartebeests, topis, zebras, giraffes, in addition, predators like cheetahs and the silverback jackals. Later, you’ll do an evening game drive on your way back to your campsite for relaxation at the campsite. Overnight at a public campsite at Serengeti inside the park.

Day 4:  Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After early wakeup you’ll opt to do a morning game drive then after breakfast, you’re off with a packed lunch in lunch boxes, as you drive out towards Naabi Hill Gate to depart from Serengeti with a game drive en-route. Later afternoon, you’ll reach your campsite at the sting of the Ngorongoro Crater where you’ll pitch camp for the night. On your way to the camp, you’ll opt to visit the Maasai villages and or the Olduvai Gorge. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site where the couple of Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the fossils of the hominid. Overnight at Simba Campsite at Ngorongoro.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After early morning breakfast, you’ll descend as early as 6.00 Hrs to the Ngorongoro Crater before the crowds, you may have better chances of seeing animals both Diurnal and Nocturnal species. You’ll spend this day inside the crater, you might even spot the Big Five on this day. Apart from the Big five Ngorongoro also has several animals and birds and with an approximate area of around 21 Kilometers wide the area. You will have your bush lunch at a picnic site then later in the afternoon you will drive back to Arusha where the safari ends.
